How Afloatly Stores Data
- Afloatly works without accounts. Boats, logs, checklists, float plans, documents, and attachments are stored on your device.
- If iCloud sync is available and enabled for this build, Afloatly syncs through your private iCloud / CloudKit storage tied to your Apple account.
- If iCloud is unavailable or restricted, Afloatly stays local-only on this device.
What We Collect
- We do not collect analytics, advertising profiles, or location tracking data.
- We do not sell your boating data or monetize your logs, checklists, vessel details, or documents.
Permissions You Control
- Camera, photo library, files, and notifications are requested only when you choose features that need them.
- Photos and documents remain on your device or in your private iCloud storage unless you choose to share them.
Exports and Sharing
- CSV exports, PDFs, and screenshot share sheets are generated on your device.
- Afloatly only shares exported files or float plans when you explicitly choose a destination.
Purchases
- If you buy Afloatly Pro, the App Store processes your payment.
- RevenueCat is used to validate your purchase and manage entitlement status. We do not receive your payment card details.
Data Retention and Deletion
- You can delete individual boats, logs, checklists, documents, and reminders inside the app.
- Removing the app deletes local app data from the device. If your data is syncing with iCloud, Apple manages that private synced copy through your iCloud account.
Third-Party Services
- App Store (payments and purchase management)
- RevenueCat (purchase validation)
- Apple iCloud / CloudKit (private sync when available)
