Information We Collect

ChainGains does not require account registration.

Practice and drill results (scores, timestamps, configuration settings) are stored on your device.

If iCloud Sync is enabled, practice session records are stored in your private iCloud account using Apple CloudKit so they can sync across your devices signed in with the same Apple ID.

Drill sessions and drill shot history remain on-device.

If you contact us directly, we may receive your email address and any other information you choose to provide.

How We Use Information

To provide and improve app features such as session tracking, drill history, and performance summaries.

To sync your practice data across devices through your private iCloud account when iCloud Sync is enabled.

To respond to support requests or user feedback.

To monitor app stability using diagnostics made available by Apple.

iCloud Sync (CloudKit)

Vision processing is performed on-device during scoring.

When iCloud Sync is enabled, ChainGains stores practice session data in your private iCloud account using Apple CloudKit.

Drill data does not sync through CloudKit and stays on-device.

CloudKit data is tied to your Apple ID and accessible only to you and Apple under your iCloud settings.

If iCloud is off, your practice data stays on-device.

Diagnostics and Analytics

ChainGains does not use third-party analytics SDKs.

Apple may collect diagnostic information through TestFlight or the App Store according to Apple policies.

Data Sharing

We do not sell personal data.

We may share aggregated or anonymous usage statistics with service providers.

We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights and safety.

Data Retention

Locally stored drill data remains on your device until you delete the app or clear data.

CloudKit-synced practice data remains in your private iCloud account until you delete app data or remove app data from iCloud.

Any diagnostics made available by Apple are retained according to Apple policies.

Your Choices

You can manage app permissions in iOS Settings.

You can turn iCloud Sync on or off in iOS settings for iCloud/CloudKit.

You can reset app data by deleting and reinstalling the app.

You can contact us to request deletion of support communications.

Children's Privacy

ChainGains is not directed to children under 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

International Users

If you use ChainGains outside the United States, your information may be processed in the U.S. or other countries where service providers operate.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time.

When material changes occur, we will revise the "Last updated" date.
