Privacy Policy

1. What We Collect

Most Lobsterly data stays on your device. Lobsterly does not require or offer accounts, and the app does not collect your name, email address, saved waypoints, notes, favorites, catch logs, trip logs, or crash logs.

• Purchase status – Apple / Google and RevenueCat process purchase history and entitlement status so Lobsterly can unlock Premium features and restore purchases.
• Map service data – Mapbox processes map SDK requests, including non-linked Mapbox identifiers, location, app interaction, usage, and diagnostic data for map functionality and analytics.
• Device location – accessed only while the map is open and you have granted permission. Lobsterly uses it for boat position, distance and bearing to waypoints, and map navigation. Lobsterly does not store your location history.

We do not upload or store your favorited waypoints, waypoints you add, notes, catch logs, trip logs, or exported records. They remain on your device unless you choose to export or share them.

2. How We Use the Data

• Operate core features, including premium purchase access.
• Show map content, boat position, distance and bearing to waypoints, and map navigation tools.
• Provide support when you contact us.

3. Third-Party Services

• Apple / Google In-App Payments – manage purchases and payment details outside Lobsterly.
• RevenueCat – verifies purchase status, entitlement access, and restore eligibility. Lobsterly does not send RevenueCat your email address or a Lobsterly account ID.
• Mapbox – delivers maps and location services. Mapbox may process non-linked Mapbox identifiers, location, usage, interaction, and diagnostic data for app functionality and analytics. Lobsterly does not use Mapbox data for tracking or advertising.

4. Data Security

Network traffic to Apple / Google, RevenueCat, and Mapbox uses HTTPS/TLS. Personal waypoints, favorites, notes, catch logs, and trip logs stay on your device unless you choose to export or share them.

5. Your Choices & Rights

You can turn off location access in your device settings, delete Lobsterly to remove locally stored app data, or export supported local records before deleting the app. Support emails may include your email address and whatever information you choose to send us. 6. Children’s Privacy

Lobsterly is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

7. Changes to This Policy

We’ll post any changes here and update the “Last updated” date. Material changes will also be announced in-app where appropriate.
